Why would a nearly 60-year-old man with no background in health and fitness decide to write a book. It was because I discovered something profound in my 50s, and it changed my life for the better. Now I would like to share this knowledge with as many people as possible, hoping it will help others.

What I discovered was the true power of our subconscious mind.

About 7 years ago, I began a journey of knowledge and self discovery by tring to solve a mystery. I was tring to figure out,
how we physically move without conscious thought. After much research I found that scientist refer to this as procedual memory. It’s a form of implicit memory, meaning it’s often below the level of conscious awareness.

The many contractions and releases at the correct timing, speed, and intensity, of over 600 muscles in our bodies, that need to occur, to facilitate walking, bicycle riding, or any other learn task, or made for us, by the subconscious part of our mind.
The reason we don’t fall over when we stand up is because our subconscious is constantly making the necessary corrections to correct any imbalances.

Any word we can speak requires just the right amount of air to be forced out of our lungs through our everchanging larynx, tongue, cheeks, and lips.

Procedural memory is constructed by repetition, we cannot prevent this from happening, it’s automatic. This makes it easier to perform many of the physical task in our daily lives. Our subconscious takes over the repeditive routines of our daily lives and makes them easier to do.

For the most part, this is positive and beneficial, however maybe in some instances it can cause problems or be detrimental. Our subconscious has one major flaw, it limits us to only doing things we have done in the past.

Exercise is unnatural and artificial, created by us to solve a problem created by us, physical inactivity. Not only are the physical movements of most exercises extremely repetitive, we also tend to repeat the same exercises each day.

Our subconscious easily takes over these repetitive movements, and our decisions of what exercises to participate in. In essence exercise actually limits or restricts our full capability of physical movement to just a few repetitive movements.

Our bodies quickly adapt to these movements, and after a short period of time there are no additional benefits. Furthermore the many other parts of our body, that facilitate our true capabilities of physical movement, are neglected and will decay from lack of use.

Also the conscious part of our minds does not need to be involved in these repetitive exercises. Maybe many of us quit exercising because we get tired or bored of doing the same thing over and over.

My life began to change drastically when I quit doing repetitive exercises, and put more conscious thought into the physical movements I was making. I created my own techniques, and when I combine this with eating healthy natural foods, things began to change exponentially. I am now 60 years old. I am on no medications, no vitamins or supplements, I am as strong, lean, and flexible as I’ve ever been in my life, I have no pain in my joints, I can physically do anything I want including running and jumping.

Most of us know that we have some sort of subconscious that can influence us. The problem is we drastically underestimate it’s true power.

Our subconscious will take over as much of our lives as it can. Now more than ever, we have given it greater opportunity by developing repetitive routines. We go to the same jobs, schools, homes, and gyms everyday, and often perform the same task within these places.

It’s not difficult to overcome our subconscious, however if we are unaware of its existence, and the power it yields, it can be very difficult.

We are all capable of doing basically anything we want, but if we let it, our subconscious will make our decisions for us, instantly.
